Indie-rock band Smoke Season describe themselves as blending "electro-soul and rocksteady to create tunes that make you wanna make babies". Whilst we can’t attest to that, we can attest to the fact that their new single ‘Sweetest Thing’ is a bit of a banger, fusing elements of soul and R&B to create a summery hybrid. ‘Sweetest Thing’ is the first track we’ve heard in over six months from the band, the last single being slowjam ‘Wolves’. We can’t wait to hear where this dynamic girl-boy duo go after this. –Holly Manners
